Over eighty research papers, 13 book Chapters and two books principally in the areas of contact lenses, intraocular lenses, accommodation and low vision. Over 100 Abstracts published at Conferences in Europe, USA, Asia and Australia. Over £1.7 million in research grants from grant awarding bodies such as: Advanced Medical Optics, Advantage West Midlands, BAE Systems, Bausch and Lomb, Birmingham Optical Group, College of Optometrists; CIBA Vision, DERA, EPSRC, Hoya Corporatin, Johnson and Johnson, Lenstec and Royal National Institute of the Blind.

Aston University Appointments

Optometry Lead, responsible for undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research. Currently the Optometry staff includes 16.7 academics, a clinical faculty of 10, 29 visiting clinicians and 9 support staff. Research (internal) supervisor for 17 PhD degrees.
