My main interests are in investigating linguistic impairments that arise either developmentally or as a consequence of brain damage with the goal of understanding normal cognition as well its breakdown. My current research program focuses on the acquisition, representation and production of lexical items.
Examples of my current work include: 1) linguistically informed analyses of the errors made by different types of aphasic patients, 2) an investigation of lexical/semantic effects in STM, and 3) an investigation of the causes of poor acquisition of new words in developmental dyslexia/dysgraphia.
I strongly value a theoretical, interdisciplinary approach between neuropsychology, linguistics, and cognitive science.
