The School of Life & Health Sciences offers an extensive range of exciting research opportunities and our strong research environment ensures PhD students develop expertise in fields that are relevant to today's science practices.

Research students are supported by our World-leading  research laboratories and equipment  and the exceptional quality of our research was confirmed in the latest Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) results – with research in Allied Health Professions and Studies ranked 3rd out of 63 UK higher education institutions, based on quality and quantity of research output.

We currently have available : twelve PhD scholarships of £7000 each to be offset against fees for overseas (non-UK/EU) students only  (six reserved for applicants from India).
