MRI scanner

The Aston MRI Unit is housed in the Aston University Day Hospital and is part of the newly created Aston Brain Centre.

The system is a 3Telsa Trio Magnetom MRI scanner from Siemens Medical Systems.

The MRI is a state-of the art system capable of the following:

  • Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI)
  • High quality anatomical imaging
  • Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (MRS)
  • Diffusion Tensor Imaging (DTI)
