ARCHA - Ageing Mind - Aphasia

The aim of this cluster is to understand changes in cognitive function as we age and to use this information to design appropriate interventions that facilitate the maintenance of independent and active engagement. Understanding neural health and cognitive functioning facilitates the development of biological, technological or psychological tools to maintain cognitive performance in older people.

Dr Cristina Romani

Cluster lead

Cristina Romani is a senior lecturer in Psychology. Her interests span neuropsychology, linguistics and experimental psychology. She is particularly interested in the assessment and rehabilitation of language impairments (including reading and spelling) in different populations.
