Anne Bielemeier
Anne Bielemeier, currently working towards a PhD in Immunology and Infection

Anne Bielemeier, MSc in Biomedical Sciences

I completed my MSc in Biomedical Sciences at Aston in 2008 and started a PhD in Immunology and Infection a few months later.

The Masters programme was ideal for me -  I learnt so much about this specialist area - both on a theoretical and a practical level. The course left me feeling confident and excited about pursuing my education to PhD standard.  I think the small group sizes made a big difference as I got a lot of one to one time with my lecturers. I really enjoyed the practical work too - there was a real sense of team spirit present in the laboratories.

I'm really enjoying my PhD work. For me, the Masters degree at Aston was another step towards my future as a scientist and I am looking forward to achieving my PhD with the support of our brilliant research group.
