About the module

The overall aim of the module is to develop students’ knowledge and application of the techniques appropriate to qualitative research in health fields. This includes developing knowledge and skills in designing, conducting and appraising qualitative research at a post graduate level. The module will link closely with PY4509 Quantitative Methods. It will also provide a grounding for the dissertation and further research in the field.

  • Knowledge of methods for collecting and analysing qualitative data and an understanding of qualitative research methodology, including an understanding of when it is appropriate
