Aston University provides a welcoming and multi-cultural learning experience to approximately 10,000 students, many of whom live on our safe and friendly city centre campus. The University has more than 2,300 international students from over 120 countries studying a wide range of subjects.

Postgraduate - Taught

You should have a degree that has been taken since 2001 from a recognised university with a score of 5.0 out of 6.0. If you are applying for finance, engineering or science based subjects, you must have studied a similar field in your undergraduate degree.

There are a number of conversion courses in the Business School which will accept students from any subject background.

Postgraduate - MBA 

You can come from any subject background, but should have a degree that has been taken since 2001 from a recognised university with a score of 5.0 out of 6.0 and a minimum of three years post graduation managerial work experience, as stipulated by the Association of MBA (AMBA) requirements.

Postgraduate - Research 

You should have a degree that has been taken since 2001 from a recognised university with a score of 5.0 out of 6.0. If you are applying for finance, engineering or science based subjects, you must have studied a similar field in your undergraduate degree.

Each of Aston's Schools of Study has a number of research groups with the potential to host PhD students. Research specialisms include finance, economics, marketing, organisational psychology, bioenergy, knowledge engineering, photonics, languages, biomedical sciences, neurosciences, health sciences and more.
