Undergraduate
You can apply for Year 1 of an undergraduate degree after successfully completing your Secondary School education with a good Senior Secondary Certificate of Education.
The marks required will depend on the subject you wish to study but the University would require high marks in ATAR (Australian Tertiary Admission Rank) / Queensland Overall Position. In general, we would be seeking a minimum of 85% for some programmes; however, some of the more competitive programmes would require a minimum of 90%.

Postgraduate - Masters
You should have one of the following:
- good Bachelor (Honours) degree with a minimum of a Second Class (Upper Division) (Division A / Division 1) from a recognised Australian university, or,
- an excellent Bachelor (Ordinary) degree with a minimum grade of Distinction from a recognised Australian university
If you are applying for finance, engineering or science based subjects, you must have studied a similar field in your undergraduate degree.
There are a number of Masters courses in the Aston Business School which will accept students from any subject background.

Postgraduate - MBA
You can apply for the MBA programme with one of the following:
- good Bachelor (Honours) degree with a minimum of a Second Class (Upper Division) (Division A / Division 1) from a recognised Australian university, or,
- an excellent Bachelor (Ordinary) degree with a minimum grade of Distinction from a recognised Australian university
PLUS a minimum of three years post-graduation managerial / professional work experience.

Postgraduate – Executive MBA You can apply for the Executive MBA programme with with one of the following:
- good Bachelor (Honours) degree with a minimum of a Second Class (Upper Division) (Division A / Division 1) from a recognised Australian university, or,
- an excellent Bachelor (Ordinary) degree with a minimum grade of Distinction from a recognised Australian university
PLUS a minimum of five years post-graduation managerial work experience.
This programme takes 2.5 years in total and is taught in blocks of 6 days at a time. It requires the commitment of the student to travel to the UK 6 times per year.
Postgraduate - Research
Each of Aston's Schools of Study has a number of research groups with the potential to host PhD students. Research specialisms include finance, economics, marketing, organisational psychology, bioenergy, knowledge engineering, photonics, languages, biomedical sciences, neurosciences, health sciences and more.
