Visit from Kanagawa University, Japan
Aston University was pleased to welcome a delegation from Kanagawa University, Japan recently.  Kanagawa is one of Aston’s oldest partnerships and has been sending students to Aston for over fifteen years, mostly onto our Junior Year Abroad programme.  The delegation included the President of Kanagawa University, Prof. Michio Nakajima and several senior members of his management team and they were welcomed by Senior Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Helen Higson, Director of International Partnerships, Stewart Comfort and Senior International Officer, David Tobin.

The visit was in recognition of our long-standing agreement and to learn about programmes and developments at Aston.  The delegation from Kanagawa was given presentations on Aston and on aspects of UK Higher Education funding by Prof. Higson and afterwards, President Nakajima expressed his hope that our partnership might grow and expand and how delighted he was at the reception that he and his team had received.

For details of all of Aston’s current partnerships and collaborative provision, please see the Marketing section of the staff intranet or contact the International Office on 4888.
