Software

The University offers a wide range of software to students, from media players like VLC to 3D modelling software like SolidWorks.  The University also offers a selection of software which you can install on your own personal PC.

Software is catagorised into one of three areas:

  1. Standard Software - This software is available on all PCs in the University.

  2. School Specific Software - This software is only available in specific labs.  Each school owns a variety of labs and have specific software installed to support the teaching of their courses.

  3. Software for Home Use - This software is available to students to install on their personal PCs while they are studying at Aston.
