This year I was in charge of designing the braking system for the Aston Formula Student Car. In a break from the normal I opted to alter the design from 4 hub mounted callipers to 2 front and 1 rear calliper.

I designed a new fitting that decreases the clutter around the callipers and used wave type disks.  With these options the car is lighter and has been made without compromising the abilities of the system giving us an advantage in the competition in July 2012.
