Profile
I have worked in the School of Engineering and Applied Science (EAS) since August 2008.
I was initially employed as the VLE (Virtual Learning Environment) Transition Support staff for EAS where I helped with the transition from WebCT to Blackboard. I continue to support the school in Blackboard areas where possible amongst my main role.
I am currently the timetabling officer for the EAS school and I deal with the taught elements of students teaching timetables. I complete the timetables for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. I enjoy problem solving and hence find the timetabling a challenging role as juggling students, staff and rooms is not an easy task. A fun part of my role is when I get to speak to the students about their timetable face to face or deliver a Blackboard session to them.
I am part of the Strategic Timetablers and Blackboard User groups for the University where I feedback and contribute in terms of plans to teaching practices and facilities as well as Blackboard.
Please note: I do not schedule examinations; the examinations team completes this centrally.
