Research Fellow
Profile
Andreas studied Chemistry at the University in Regensburg, Germany,
where he graduated in 2000 in Organometalic Chemistry. His research
topic was enantioselective in situ catalysis with Rhodium carborane
complexes. After a post doc stay at the Universite Louis Pasteur in
Strasburg, France until 2002 he joined the Department of Technical
Chemistry at the Research Centre of Karlsruhe, Germany, where he
expanded his technical and engineering skills. At The Research Centre
of Karlsruhe Andreas worked on catalytic degradation of tar, biomass
pyrolysis and the analysis of pyrolysis liquids and gases. His main
working topic was intermediate pyrolysis via a Haloclean reactor in lab
and pilot scale.
Andreas joined the Bioenergy Research Group at Aston University in
January 2008. His research is in pyrolysis of biomass with fluidized
bed reactors and haloclean reactors. Andreas will also be responsible
for the analysis of pyrolysis liquids and gases.
