Sources of Funding
Prior to commencing a programme, candidates must provide evidence that tuition fees will be paid and, if appropriate, living expenses covered for the duration of the programme.
Financial support to assist with tuition fees and/or living expenses may be available from:
- Employers: Sponsorship may be obtained from candidates’ employing organisations
- UK Research Councils: A limited number of studentships are available to UK candidates via the University
- Various UK or international organisations which are currently offering scholarships advertise them on the British Council database.
- Overseas Governments: Funding may be obtained from candidates’ home governments
- School (of Engineering and Applied Science) Scholarships: A limited number of scholarships are awarded to candidates with outstanding academic qualifications and excellent research potential
