Characterisation Techniques
The Group uses various complementary spectroscopic, thermal-mechanical and chromatographic characterisation techniques for polymers, additives and their products . This is fundamental to understanding their physical and chemical behaviour and is essential for the development and synthesis of new and novel additives and their migration in polymer systems, quality control and targeted problem solving.
Testing and Analysis
The Group also undertakes analyses and testing of property performance and long term durability of wide range of substrates including oils, coatings, proteins, starches and polymers as well as testing polymers processibility, stability, recyclability, degradability and compostability. This work is supported by fully equipped modern testing and characterisation laboratories.
