Support for Bioenergy Research and Industrial Development in the West Midlands

EBRI is being funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) to develop a new centre of excellent in bioenergy technologies and a focal point for supporting regional business with technology transfer and growth opportunities.

This £16.5m project is creating new dedicated industrial research facilities and a unique industrial scale power generation plant on the Aston University campus. These new facilities will demonstrate the practical nature of the EBRI technology by supplying power and heat for use on the campus.

This project is offering support for businesses based within the West Midlands to help them realise opportunities from this high growth sector as well as working at the forefront of international research.
