The Non-linearity and Complexity Research Group offer a
three-year PhD research programme; normally students are expected to
complete an appropriate MSc by Research as their first year. The NCRG
is looking for highly motivated individuals to fill three PhD
studentships in research areas covered by the group. The group has an
internationally renowned research effort spanning theory and
applications of pattern analysis, statistical physics, complex systems,
stochastic nonlinear equations, and machine learning.
In particular we encourage applications for the following projects:
- Shannon information capacity of nonlinear communication channels
- Field-theoretic approach to complex networks
