We have developed a number of activities
for visiting school groups of different ages, including
lecture/demonstrations, laboratory activities and guided tours.
These activities may be incorporated into
a day's visit of the University campus or into a chemistry immersion
experience involving a day or an afternoon visit to the CEAC building.
A number of outreach events are held at various times during the year. Further information Outreach activities >
Work Experience
Limited numbers of work experience positions are available to exceptional students.
" I
wanted work experience at Aston University for my UCAS entry. I thought
all I would be doing at Aston would be simple boring work, which wasn't
that important. On my first day I was greatly impressed by how friendly
everyone was. My work experience has finished and I can actually say I
enjoyed it. It was fun. I felt I was doing something useful for myself
and for Aston University. I recommend people to try out Aston
University. I was surprised at the wide range skills I used for my
work experience. I was also greatly impressed with how everyone
respected and trusted me"
