If you are currently enrolled on the 4 year BSc in Audiology at Aston University (UCAS Code B610), financing your tuition fees and living costs is different from the usual statutory support available to the majority of other home (UK) undergraduate students.
The BSc in Audiology is funded by the National Health Service (NHS). This means that home UK and European Union students’ tuition fees are normally paid by the NHS, so unlike other undergraduate students there is no requirement to apply for a Tuition Fee Loan.
Student Maintenance Loan
Like other students, UK Audiology students can apply for a Student Maintenance Loan, however the amount available is less. The maximum Student Maintenance Loan rates for 2010 / 2011 entry are estimated as:
Living at home during term time £2,763
Living away from home during term time £3,564
NHS bursaries
You may also apply for an NHS Bursary. This does not have to be repaid. The amount you receive is dependant on your household income. The maximum NHS Bursary rates for 2010 / 2011 entry are:
Living at home during term time £2,810
Living away from home during term time £2,346
Depending on your individual circumstances you may also be entitled to the following funding streams via NHS Student Bursaries:
