The Disability Discrimination Act - DDA (1995) - defines disability as a physical or mental impairment, which has a substantial and long-term adverse affect on a person’s ability to carry out normal day-to-day activities.
The term disability includes many long-term or fluctuating health conditions and includes mobility issues, seeing, hearing, or a learning disability, mental health issues, Epilepsy, HIV, Asthma, Diabetes, or a condition that becomes progressively worse with time, such as Multiple Sclerosis.
