My role is to assist the Head of Health and Safety in providing all members of the University, directly or via School and Departmental Safety Advisers and Union Safety Representatives, with advice, support and training on a range of health, safety and welfare matters, as required under current legislation.

Although initially trained as a chemist, working in the metal finishing industry and hazardous waste management prior to working in the University, my work includes but is not limited to chemical related issues, and also covers general workplace safety and ergonomics.
