You are required to wear academic dress which may be hired or bought from J Wippell Ltd. Details can be found at www.wippellgownhire.co.uk or by telephoning +44 (0)1392 254234. The website for robes will open on Friday 4th May and will close at the end of June 2012 Please order your robes by the end of June otherwise we will assume that you do not wish to attend your ceremony,
Before you order your robes, please ensure that you have the following ready:
- Your head circumference (measure around the tip of your ears in a circumference), chest/bust and height measurements
- The day and time of your ceremony
- Your credit/debit card details
- The hire fee for Doctorate robes £44.00, Masters robes £42.00, Postgraduate Diploma robes £41.00, BSc robes £41.00, Foundation robes £41.00 (full purchase details are listed on the J Wippell Ltd website).
Robes should be ordered as early as possible and PREFERABLY BEFORE the end of June 2012. If you find that you cannot attend your ceremony after you have booked your robes, then please contact J Wippell directly. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE WIPPELL WEBSITE WILL DISPLAY 2 CEREMONY TIMES (11.00AM AND 2.30PM). PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU KNOW THE TIME OF YOUR CEREMONY BEFORE ORDERING YOUR ROBES, YOU CAN CHECK THIS INFORMATION BY GOING TO 'THE DATES AND TIMES' SECTION OF THIS WEBSITE FOR THE INFORMATION.
The gowns will be delivered directly to Aston University prior to the ceremony and can be collected from 8.00am (for the morning ceremony), from 11.00am (for the afternoon ceremony). Please collect your robes from MB161, which is situated in the Main Building, Aston University.
Please note that the robes must be returned by 6.00pm to the drop off point in MB161, you cannot leave robes at the Birmingham Town Hall.
