The graduation ceremony is not suitable for children below the age of seven years. The University Nursery and Day Care Centre can offer crèche facilities for a limited number of babies and young children. For more details and to check availability, please telephone 0121 204 4562.
Please note: children under the age of seven years WILL NOT under any circumstances be admitted into the Birmingham Town Hall Auditorium, this is University policy (regardless whether you have managed to obtain a guest ticket from the Box Office).
Any young person over the age of seven is welcome to come along to the degree ceremonies but must have their own guest ticket. Children WILL NOT be allowed to sit on an adult's lap in the Auditorium as this poses a health and safety hazard.
The Birmingham Town Hall foyer is too small to accommodate any guests who do not have tickets for the Auditorium. Excessive noise from the foyer can be heard inside the Auditorium and can spoil the enjoyment for those inside. Any guests without tickets for the Auditorium are advised to stay at the Aston University campus where catering facilities are available.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE CEREMONIES ARE NOT FILMED OR WEB STREAMED SO THERE ARE NO FACILITIES FOR GUESTS WITHOUT TICKETS TO WATCH THE PROCEEDINGS.
