Life and Health Sciences Postgraduate Research Student Society

Welcome to the LHS Postgraduate Research Society which is part of the Aston Postgraduate Research Society (APRS) which is in turn supported by the Aston Graduate School. This is a Society for postgraduate research students who are enrolled in the School of Life and Health Sciences at Aston.

Benefits of the Student Society and how to join

The Society is comprised of postgraduate research students, including a chair, secretary and international representative. Our aim is to make your life outside of work as stimulating as possible. We regularly organise meals out, nights out and trips to the cinema. We also arrange  specialist events, academic events (eg research colloquiums) and excursions, such as bowling, ice skating and visiting local sites of interest (aquarium and museums), as well as a yearly Christmas meal. Due to its affiliation to the Guild and funding from the University, many of the activities are either free or heavily subsidised to encourage more people to come along.

Every person who has enrolled is automatically a member of the Society.

The Society is a great way to meet other people like yourselves and to have fun. We are always welcome to new ideas/suggestions, we also have a facebook page
