The Aston Postgraduate Research Society (APRS)
was founded in 2010 with the aim of encouraging collaboration between Schools
of Study and research groups which in turn could lead to further research, but more
importantly, improve social and academic experiences of research students across
the University.

involved!
APRS is funded through the University
Graduate School and affiliated with the Students’ Guild. The Society is run by

Regular events have been held since the Society
was set up which include pub quizzes, screening of the PhD comics movie,
TEDtalks and welcome events. There are plans to organise a postgraduate research
sports day, a poster event, and a summer ball in
2012; details of these can be found in the APRS calendar.
All new postgraduate
students automatically become a member once they have enrolled. To keep up to
date with APRS news and events, please register your interest by joining the
APRS facebook page ‘Aston Postgraduate Research Society’ and sending an email
request to Dominic Tulloch (t-tullochd@aston.ac.uk) to be added to
the APRS mailing list. If you wish to
contact the Society Executive with a query, please email aprs@aston.ac.uk.
We look forward to meeting
you at this year’s events!
