Support FOR students BY students

Aston University's Peer Mentoring scheme brings together students from different year groups to form one-to-one mentoring relationships. The benefits of getting involved are numerous. By committing a small amount of time to mentoring every week, you can really get ahead and make the most of your time at Aston.

For mentees, the scheme provides a great source of support from someone who is a few steps ahead in their university career.

For mentors, not only are you providing invaluable assistance to another Aston student, you're developing transferable skills, meeting new people and gaining some great experience for your CV.

Peer Mentoring is a voluntary scheme which is flexible, confidential, and fits around your availability and preferences. Full training is provided, and is compulsory for both mentees and mentors. All mentees and mentors will receive an Aston certificate at a Celebration Evening dedicated to Peer Mentoring. Your participation will be reflected on your student record and will be valuable for any future placement or job applications. It is fully supported by all staff at Aston.

Mentoring for every stage

Mentoring roles are available for all Undergraduates across every year group, including those out on placement:
