IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ BEFORE PROGRESSING
ISSUE / ACTIVATE YOUR CARD BEFORE USE
Once you have registered with the online Touch Pay portal and loaded funds onto your account with a credit or debit card, you may receive a message saying "There is no card issued to your account". To issue a card and activate it ready for use, please visit the Activation terminal in the CafeTierra food court by the Green LED wall. The terminal will ask you to enter your student number and confirm your details, it will then issue/activate your card and you will be ready to use it.
IS YOUR uniCARD READY FOR TOUCH PAY?
All new student ID uniCARDS issued for 2011 and 2012 entry have the Touch Pay technology built in. You can check if your card is ready for Touch Pay by checking the back of the card for the pink contactless logo which should be on the right hand side under the magnetic strip. If it doesn't have this logo, don't worry, simply visit the ISA Help Desk on East 4 of the Main Building and the team will replace your old style card for you at no charge.
THE PAYMENT PROCESS
Please ensure you read the below before going through the payment process, there is a key step you need to ensure you follow so that your Touch Pay Account updates.
After entering your payment details, you will be presented with a screen saying "Authorisation in process", your payment will not process until you see the "Payment - Step 3 - Confirmation" screen displaying the message "Your payment was successful!".
IMPORTANT: THE PAYMENT PROCESS IS NOT YET COMPLETE! DO NOT CLOSE YOUR BROWSER!
When you see the screen below, you MUST choose to send a receipt. Unless you complete this step, the payment process will not link back to your Touch Pay account and your payment will be taken but your Touch Pay account will not be updated.
AFTER REQUESTING A RECEIPT
Once you have completed the above screen and clicked "Send Receipt" or "Don't Send Receipt" your web browser will then redirect you back into Touch Pay and you will see a screen similar to the below. If you do not get redirected to the below screen, please contact email@example.com and please make a note of any error messages you may encounter.
Once you see the below screen, your transaction has been successful and you can spend and save using your uniCARD.
