Data Protection
We fully appreciate that friends and family of students could be concerned about their welfare, and in the interests of respecting student privacy and following the guidelines of the Data Protection Act, we are unable to talk about your concerns without their express permission. We will not give out student addresses, or telephone numbers but will pass a message to the student if you have any apprehension, and ask him/her to contact you.
Please do not be concerned as students at Aston generally settle in very quickly and get involved with various social activities and societies. We are here to help them adjust to university life, but many genuinely and honestly forget to phone home as they're just enjoying their time on campus.
Parents/Guardians should note that the residence Licence Agreement is made between Aston University and the student in residence. It is therefore not possible to discuss any issue relating to this Licence Agreement with any third party, in spite of
who actually pays the rent.
