Accommodation Offers

Offers of accommodation will be sent to the email address you provide when completing your application form. You will not receive anything relating to accommodation via the postal system.

Before accepting an accommodation offer, it is essential that you read the Construction Noise information and the  "Conditions of Residence and Licence". Accepting the offer enters you into a legally binding contract that commits you to the "Conditions of Residence and Licence", which includes your obligation to pay accommodation fees for the FULL Licence period.

Students only receive one offer of accommodation (in accordance with the University's allocation policy). Please therefore be aware, if you reject the offer of accommodation made to you, we CANNOT guarantee to make an alternative offer.

The University is embarking on phase two of its student residences project, with the construction of circa 1050 additional en-suite study bedrooms due for completion in 2013. Existing standard accommodation blocks will be demolished and the nature and extent of the work may generate some noise and vibration. Please be assured that Contractors will take all reasonable steps to ensure that any noise and/or vibration is kept to a level that is reasonable and that minimisation techniques appropriate to the project are deployed wherever possible, to limit where reasonably practicable, disruption to resident students. Students should avail themselves of study facilities available in the University, for example, the Library in the unlikely event that noise or vibration be a problem.

Cancellation of Accommodation Acceptance

If you wish to cancel your accommodation offer after you have paid the deposit, you need to refer to the "Conditions of Residence and Licence" which explains the process and the charges incurred. In order to obtain the deposit refund please refer to the section below.

Deposit Refund

Your deposit refund (in accordance with the terms set out in the "Conditions of Residence and Licence" ), can be claimed back via MAP.  You need to refer to the Student Finance Section and request Accommodation Deposits. Please complete your bank details and select whether you want the refund paid into a UK or Non-UK bank. Please be aware that the refund will only be made in full after your current Licence expires, if there are no charges levied against you and all of your residence fees have been paid. If you do not have a bank account and need the refund to be in a different format, then you need to visit The Hub in the main building and speak to a member of the Credit Control section.

Termly Accommodation fees

If you experience difficulties paying your accommodation fees by the due date you must contact Credit Control via creditcontrol@aston.ac.uk before the due date.
