Accommodation Offers

Offers of accommodation will be sent to the email address you provide on your application form. Generally, you will not receive anything relating to accommodation via post. Always check your junk mail as some service providers may not accept emails from Aston University.

You have 7 days from the date we make the offer to accept and make the deposit payment via the on-line booking system. (The number of days for accepting normally decreases as we get nearer the start of term).

You need to be aware and accept that if we make you an offer of a room and you reject that offer, you run the risk of no alternative room, but we will always try and accommodate your request.

Before accepting an accommodation offer, it is essential that you read the Construction Noise information and the Conditions of Residence and Licence. Accepting the offer enters you into a legally binding contract that commits you to the Conditions of Residence and Licence, which includes your obligation to pay accommodation fees for the FULL Licence period.

If you accept a room on campus for 2013/14, your Licence Agreement commences on 28th September 2013. The start date will change if you are allocated a room during the Residential year.

Your arrival dates will be 28th/29th September 2013. If you are unable to arrive on either of these dates, please email accom@aston.ac.uk from the beginning of September 2013, and we will assist you with alternative arrangements.

Please be aware that we cannot always guarantee you a room on campus, as any vacancies will be determined by the number of new students accepting accommodation offers. Please maintain contact with the Accommodation Office if you wish to be considered for a room.

I refuse to pay for a whole year when I’m only here for nine months...

The good news is you can apply for a refund if you find that you don't need your TV Licence for any full three-month period of cover remaining on it, should you stop using TV and not need a licence again before it expires. For example, for the last quarter of the year if you go on summer break. Find out how to apply for a refund
