I joined the university in August 2004. After several years working on an AWM funded project, I became a permanent member of staff working as part of the CLIPP team supporting technology enhanced teaching and learning across the campus. My role is a varied one that ranges from proactive research into new technology and how it effects teaching and learning, through to the more day to day support of staff using these technologies, as well as everything else in between.
I'm often expected to turn my hand to whatever the job requires which has helped me expand my range of skills. I'm a power user of Blackboard, Elluminate and Aston Replay (Panopto) and a member of several institution wide steering groups, often being called upon to advise on policy. I also provide training in a one to one setting as well supporting staff development sessions.
Although predominately my background is in user facing technology, I have previous experience in teaching and learning from supporting to delivering.
