"Surviving your Nursing or Midwifery Course at University" (Coventry & Wolverhampton Universities) (2009)

Client

Department of Nursing, Midwifery and Health Care at Coventry University and the School of Health & Wellbeing at the University of Wolverhampton

Brief

We were commissioned to make a series of videos - aimed at prospective nursing and midwifery students – that would address some of the issues that new students face when training that may cause them to consider dropping out. By acknowledging that the training can be challenging and demanding, it is intended that students will start their training fully informed and prepared for the challenges ahead

Products

We compiled interviews with nursing and midwifery students and support staff from both universities into 28 videos covering categories such as Student Life, Teaching & Learning, Support & Guidance and Entry Processes, as well as introductory compilation promo videos. We shot the interviews against a blue screen (to allow us to put in custom designed backgrounds) in our own CLIPP studios and in Coventry University’s TV studios.  The 28 videos were compiled on a DVD, which has been mass duplicated for giveaway in schools and colleges, and also were encoded for delivery online via the university websites.

The videos can be seen on the Coventry University Students' YouTube Channel and on the University of Wolverhampton YouTube Channel.
