Brief
We were asked to make some
videos for this course, which would not only replace their current videos but
also build on them to create a suite of video which addressed some really
important issues concerning teenage cancer care in the UK. We worked closely
with the staff in the Teenage Cancer Trust Young Persons Oncology Unit at the
Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Edgbaston to arrange interviews with young people who are or have suffered
from cancer, and filmed them discussing a variety of issues with great force
and candour.
Products
We arranged each discussion
as a group conversation in a kitchenette area in the oncology department of the
QE, using a 4-camera set up to record everything with the least disruption
possible. This was synched in the edit suite and the conversations were edited
with great efficiency. We also shot some interviews with experts (a consultant
oncologist and a specialist cancer care nurse) which were also brought into the
mix. We used logos from Coventry and the TCT to brand each video.
