Brief
We
initiated our own enquiries to record the demolition by controlled implosion of
the two accommodation tower blocks (Dalton and Lawrence) for the university
archive. This footage was subsequently used in a longer video which told the
history of the towers and put the demolition into the context of the new
building work. We had to work with strict and comprehensive safety
requirements, and were able to set our cameras up on the roof of the main
building to get the best possible angle to capture all the action.
Products
We delivered not just a 45s
clip of the demolition, filmed from the best position on the campus (6th
floor, main building), but also a larger 4 minute video that used archive
material and video files from the architects to create the perfect past,
present and future video experience.
