Clearing course vacancies

UPDATE: We have met our government funded target of places for 2012 entry. We are still taking enquiries from unplaced students with the right entry requirements in case any places become available. We are also welcoming applications for 2013 entry via UCAS. Congratulations to all those students due to join Aston University this year.

Why are there two course search facilities on UCAS.com?

Publicly funded universities and colleges are required by the government to limit the number of students they accept that normally reside in the UK or the EU. However, there are no such restrictions placed on applicants living outside of the UK or EU.  This means that certain courses in Clearing may therefore only be available to international students, and this enhancement to the service will ensure you only search for those courses with vacancies relevant to your particular situation.
