Confirmation - confirm your place at Aston

Confirmation takes place in July & August when Universities receive applicants' exam results. Please check which results UCAS send to us directly. If your qualification is not on the list, send us your results as soon as you receive them.

All conditions must be met in full by 4pm on the 31 August 2012 to guarantee a place. This includes the outcomes of any appeals or re-marks.

Have I got my place at Aston?

Once you have your results, please check UCAS Track to see if you have your place at Aston - this is the fastest way to find out. If possible, avoid calling the University, as phone lines are very busy during the exam results period and you will have to wait in a queue.

On the morning of results day, we will send you a Confirmation email which will provide information regarding joining the University. UCAS will also send you a Confirmation letter in the post.

I've got my results and...

I've met the conditions of my offer

If you have exactly met the conditions of your offer (including GCSE results, non-academic conditions etc) and applied through UCAS, your place will be confirmed and you do not need to contact us. Check UCAS Track to confirm our decision.

If you are taking international qualifications, please send us your results as soon as possible so we can confirm your place. Check UCAS Track to confirm our decision.

I have not met the conditions of my offer

If you have just missed the conditions of your offer, we may still have been able to confirm your place. To see our decision, check UCAS Track.

If you wish to apply for a re-mark please ensure it is a priority re-mark and should be set in motion on results day. For further information please contact the School or College where you took your A Levels.

I've checked Track and no decision has been made. What should I do?

There are a number of reasons why a confirmation decision may not have been made. It may be due to one of the following:

  • We have received an incomplete result from the Examining Board. If you think this may be the case then please check with Aston via the Confirmation Hotline: 0121 204 4444 - Lines open at 8am on Thursday 16th August. Please send a copy of the result as soon as possible.

  • Additional conditions have not been met e.g. GCSE results, non academic conditions.

  • You have been unsuccessful on your first choice course; however, Aston would like to make you an offer on an alternative course. You should receive an email from Aston with details regarding the new course and how to accept/decline this offer.
