Aston's Disability and Additional Needs Unit (DANU) co-ordinates all support for students at the University who have physical, sensory or hidden disabilities, mental health or specific learning difficulties. We offer a confidential service and can give advice on disability-related issues and practical support.
We welcome Clearing applications from students with disabilities and aim to enable you to make the most of your time at the university. Your application for a place at Aston will be considered solely on academic merit, but it is helpful if DANU know about any support needs you may have before you arrive.
If you are applying to Aston though Clearing and wish to tell us about a disability or medical condition that you need support with, please let the person dealing with your application know when you first make contact. They can then pass your contact details on to the DANU Team. DANU will contact you to discuss your individual requirements.
If you do not wish to declare a disability and would just like to talk to us about the support that is available, please contact the DANU Team. Any discussions you have with DANU are treated confidentially and separately from your application.
