Background
Professor of Technology Management.
Industrial experience includes periods in the automotive components and electrical equipment industries. Previous academic appointments have been with the University of Wolverhampton and a secondment to the Malaysian National Institute of Public Administration. Currently also an Adjunct Professor with the University of South Australia (International Graduate School of Business).
Research Interests and Consultancy
Research is concerned with issues relating to production systems design, quality and reliability management, technology management and the transfer of technology between industrialised and developing countries, especially in the Asian region.
Recent consulting assignments include projects for the European Commission (EC), the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and the Libyan Advanced Centre for Technology (ACT).
Funding & Research Grants
Research support has been granted by the UK research councils (EPSRC and ESRC) as well as several other funding bodies such as the European Commission, British Council and Royal Academy of Engineering.
Teaching
Areas of teaching are Operations and Technology Management.
