Placements Manager
Undergraduate Programme
I am responsible for the placement programme, which sees up to 600 students each year take a 12 month placement in the UK and overseas. I ensure that the programme is marketed and promoted to prospective students, current students and employers alike. My role includes managing a team of six staff members who, along with myself, strive to ensure that the students are fully skilled, equipped and prepared to undertake their placement search.
I have six years experience in Human Resource Management and recruitment and selection. This has been gained through employment in the retail, wholesale/logistics and publishing industries.
I am an MBA, an Associate of the Higher Education Academy and a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. I also hold the British Psychological Society's Level A certificate in Psychometric Testing. I have a BA (Hons) English Language and Literature.
I enjoy travel, gardening, cooking/entertaining, music (listening to, not participating in), theatre/cinema, reading and eating out.
