Research Interests

My research interests centre around the relationship between the individual and the organisation. From an occupational psychology perspective this covers issues such as organisational commitment, identification, and the nature of the psychological contract. From an HRM perspective, issues of organisational justice, managerialism and the (mis)use of power in organisations become prominent.

Teaching

On the undergraduate programme, I am module leader and teach on Theories and Practice of Human Resource Management (BH2212) and International Perspectives on Organisations (BH1109).  I have also held the role of Assiciate Dean: Undergraduate Programme in Aston Business School.

I am currently Course Director for the Part-time MSc in Human Resource Managemet and Business. I contribute to two postgarduate modules; Human Resource Management: Assessment, Performance and Reward (BHM306) and skills for HRM (BHM500a). For 3 years I was module leader for Work Organisation and Change (BHM830). Detailed information for students about each course can be obtained from the undergraduate and postgraduate Blackboard system.
