Research Evaluation
Every
five years in the UK University sector there is an activity known as
the 'Research Evaluation Exercise' (RAE) - this is to permit the
comparison and evaluation of the research output of UK universities for
the purpose of future allocation of government funds. The most recent
RAE evaluation extended from mid-1996 to the end of 2000 - Aston
Business School obtained a Grade of 5b; they rank 2 nd in the UK list
of Business Schools (following the London School of Economics, no less)
by one of the criteria used by the Times. They are accredited by
numerous bodies.
In this document I have used the RAE headings to
lists papers, book chapters and peer reviewed conference proceedings
with which I have been associated since September 2001 when I converted
to Research Fellow status. In this list I have followed the RAE
classifications, as sole or joint author - although in total I have
well over 120 outputs. I have listed future activities (in a blue
font).
