Impact of Performance Measurement on Organisational Performance: The Case of Local Government Agencies
In my research study I aim to investigate the extent to which the use of a performance measurement system (PMS) has a positive impact on the organisational performance of local government agencies and identify the factors supporting optimisation. The following research questions guide this study:
3. What factors affect the operation of a PMS within local government agencies?
4. How can local government agencies increase the positive consequences of their PMS'?
In summary, the proposed research seeks to yield insights in relation to the causal links between performance measurement and performance improvement and identify the contextual factors supporting optimisation.
