Profile

Lisa has 20 years experience in audit and financial reporting, is professionally qualified (ICAEW) and has trained finance professionals and non-finance personnel since 1995. Her presentation style is interactive, aiming to bring technical subjects to life by using practical examples drawn from her experience of providing training in a wide range of companies across the world. Lisa promotes a relaxed learning environment in which questions are encouraged, complex issues are simplified, and application of knowledge to personal experience and situations is welcomed. Participants on Lisa’s courses will leave with a clear understanding of sometimes challenging ideas.

Lisa specialises in designing and delivering courses on a range of topics related to financial accounting and audit, from basic understanding accounts and bookkeeping courses to advanced courses on specialist topics such as the application of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). She also covers related topics such as financial analysis, internal and external audit, corporate governance, and business ethics. More recently Lisa has developed a number of e-learning courses and participated in webinars on governance and corporate reporting topics. Much of the training that Lisa provides is Continuing Professional Development for qualified accountants, but she also is skilled in making complex issues understandable for non-finance personnel. Lisa has also provided one-to-one consultation to senior finance professionals on specific matters impacting their role, often focussing on the move to IFRS.

Although Lisa is UK based, she has trained in many countries – in the EU and further afield in the Far East and in the Caribbean. Lisa has presented courses globally, spending considerable time in Hong Kong and China.
