Kirit is an economist by training and has combined teaching and research at Aston Business School with numerous consultancy and research assignments in some 20 countries for international and national development and aid organisations (including Asian Development Bank, DFID, European Commission, ILO, UNDP, UNIDO and the World Bank.

Specialisation in Economics, Quantitative Methods and Economic Development.
Awarded the Faculty Plender Prize.

Most recent completed funded research project: Valuing rural travel time savings in LDCs (DFID Knowledge and Research).
PhD Supervision:
Supervision of 5 PhD students to completion, currently supervising 2 students.
Available to supervise PhDs and DBAs especially on latecomer strategies of emerging economy companies.
