Lecturer
Economics and Strategy Group
Profile
I joined Aston Business School in 2005 upon the completion of my PhD at Warwick Business School.
I am teaching Strategic Management modules at Undergraduate and Postgraduate level. I maintain a weblog with material and examples related to my teaching http://strat-man.blogspot.com/.
I am the Director of MSc Strategy and International Business.
I am the Co-Chair of the Strategic Foresight SIG at the British Academy of Management.
My research interest is in how strategy is developed in terms of processes and practices. My current research is focused on how specific activities such as Performance
Measurement/Management (PMM) and Strategic Foresight influence the strategy development process. Furthermore, I am investigating the impact of strategy tools associated with these activities: Balanced Scorecard from PMM and Scenario Planning from Strategic Foresight.
I am working with the Centre of Executive Development on the provision of management development programmes in a range of formats: open programmes, executive development programmes and highly customised programmes.
