The ERRN was established in 2006 with the aim of stimulating cross disciplinary research in the area of risk management and providing an exceptional training ground for the next generation of academic researchers, regulators and practitioners. The network includes academics and industry experts from the disciplines of accounting, auditing, accounting control, financial economics and mathematical finance, and the research is both quantitative and qualitative in style.
The EU's Marie Curie Actions programme has provided the network with the funding to run the first four linked conferences on risk management systems, governance and internal control. The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), a member of IFAC and a leading global professional accounting body, is an associate partner to the network.
The 5th European Risk Conference is being held in Luxembourg on 13-14th September 2012.
The primary aim of the conference series is to educate and train new researchers in the area of risk management and internal control. A doctoral colloquium and the opportunity to present full conference papers form core elements of this training.
One of the aims of this website is to disseminate research ideas and findings across the ERRN network. We would like to do this by regularly posting links to a relevant working paper by one or more members. The current paper is on linking risk management to strategic controls. Download pdf file
If you have a paper that you would like to have publicised in this way please e mail a pdf or Word copy to m.woods@aston.ac.uk
