CEPMMA Research Output 2004 to Present (6 Members)
Since January 2004, the core 6 members of the Centre have published 33 articles in peer reviewed journals, including many publications in top internationally recognized journals. In addition, 6 contributions to peer reviewed scholarly volumes have appeared, with Thanassoulis, E (with Portela, M) Despic, O (2008) being a particularly important and prestigious contribution to a volume that has already become a reference text for efficiency and productivity measurement experts. Two edited scholarly volumes have also been produced during the review period. (The International Handbook on Privatisation (Saal), and Data Envelopment Analysis and Performance Management (Emrouznejad)). Some 5 official publications have been produced. In particular, one produced by Saal for OFWAT on evidence for economies of scale in the water industry, gained significant media attention, and may have dampened down demand for further mergers in the water industry. Finally it also notes DEA software
developed by members of the centre and acquired by many educational
institutions worldwide.

Thanassoulis- Emrouznejad
I initiated in 1985 the Warwick DEA software
which for nearly 20 years has been one of the premier specialist software in
its area. The software has been reviewed in the international academic
literature (USA, UK, Germany) as a key aid for those
applying DEA. Several hundred universities, public sector bodies and
commercial organisations world - wide have purchased the software.
In 2003 I initiated and co-developed with support from the
Department for Education and Skills a totally new DEA software incorporating
the most recent theoretical development in the area. The software is
commercially available.
