Support for your global career planning


Aston University Careers Service provides a wide range of high quality services to MSc students and graduates organised by a specialist MSc Business Careers Adviser.

The services focus on enabling you to find global opportunities, to meet employers at on-campus events and to develop the skills needed to manage your future career.  A comprehensive careers programme is run each term covering topics including strategic career planning, career networking, opportunities for MSc students and the essential skills needed to apply in the global job market. The latter includes CV development, application form completion, interview preparation, psychometric assessment and assessment centres.

Employability Skills

Presentations, skills workshops, mock interviews, employer-led sessions and on-line discussion groups are all available for students to develop the employability skills required by graduate employers.

One-to-one support

Individual guidance is available and is taken up by a large number of MSc students needing one-to-one support for career planning and job applications.

Resources and Events

The award-winning Aston University Careers Service provides access to a full range of print and electronic resources including an on-line career management programme and practice psychometric tests. It runs a comprehensive employer events programme with regular careers fairs, employer presentations and employer drop-in sessions providing opportunities for students to create essential employer networks.
