Exchange Students seeking the double degree (attending the full academic year):

Select Degree Programme: Please select the MSc programme you wish to apply for as your first choice. Please only apply for one MSc programme within Aston Business School, you may list a second choice of course in your personal statement.

 When creating your new account please ensure that you provide us with a valid and accurate email address as most of the correspondence from Aston will be sent via email.

You will be automatically logged in after this and be able to start your application immediately. You can elect to ‘Save and Return Later’ at any point of the process, at which point you will be emailed details on how to return to your application later.

Students should fully complete the form and submit it together with a CV, an officially translated transcript (if not already in English), two references, at least one of which must be from an academic referee (MSc applicants without work experience may submit two academic references), your GMAT score and your TOEFL or IELTS test results.

PLEASE NOTE:  you must first check with your school that you have been officially nominated. Online forms received without prior nomination will not be processed.

Confirmation of a place:  You will receive official confirmation of your postgraduate place over the summer via electronic mail.

Double-degree Students’ Arrival:  There will be a COMPULSORY induction programme which will begin during the week preceding the beginning of Term 1.  Full details will be sent out during the summer.  If students are in university residences, the rooms will be available from mid-September and they will be advised of the exact date by the Accommodation Office.

Select Degree Programme: Exchange students joining Aston for one or two terms only will be attached to the MSc in Business & Management programme. Please select one of the following options depending when you are joining Aston and whether you are coming for one or two academic terms:

  • MSc in Business & Management Exchange – 1 Term (September 2011 start)

  • MSc in Business & Management Exchange – 1 Term (January 2012 start)

  • MSc in Business & Management Exchange – 1 Term (April 2012 start)

  • MSc in Business & Management Exchange – 2 Terms (September 2011 start)

  • MSc in Business & Management Exchange – 2 Terms (January 2012 start)

Students enrolling for one or two terms will not be required to take the GMAT or TOEFL tests but will have to provide evidence (e.g. letter from their institution) that their level of English is adequate to meet the demands of an English-taught Masters programme. This letter can be uploaded instead of a TOEFL or IELTS score.

One or two Terms Students’ Arrival:  Please note that students joining Aston in Term 1 (Fall Term) will be expected to attend the Induction Programme for International Students beginning 19 September 2011.There will be a COMPULSORY enrolment session taking place on Thursday 5 January 2012 for students joining us in Term 2 (Spring Term) and Friday 13 April 2012 for students joining us in Term 3 (Summer Term).

Application deadlines

Nomination deadline for the fall term will be 17 June 2011 and Application deadline will be 1st July for double degree and Term 1 exchange students. TOEFL, IELTS and GMAT scores will normally have to be received by the application deadline.

Nomination deadline for exchange students joining us in Term 2 (Spring Term) of 2012 will be 30 September 2011 andApplication deadline will be 28 October 2011.

Application deadline for exchange students joining us in Term 3 will be 13 January 2012.
